Watch as iconic symbols such as the bustling Plaza de España, a flamenco guitar and fan, luscious oranges, and delicious sangria come to life in a symphony of color, pattern, and motion. My goal in this motion graphic was to beautifully weave together the traditional tile patterns and contemporary aspects of Seville.
I created this animation before I studied abroad in 2024, and I believe my excitement to explore Seville is recognizable in this design!
To start this monster of a prompt I did a lot of research into the specific 'look' I wanted for the final product. I'm absolutely in love with the beautiful tiles in Seville and I wanted the design to refer to the bright colors and captivating patterns that are in those tiles. To keep this intense design reigned in, I filled out a document laying out the visual rules that this animation would follow.
Continuing, I had to research iconic elements of Seville. There are many iconic pieces of architecture there but I wanted to keep pieces that would reference other cultural elements that made specifically Seville special. This included the orange trees that line the streets, tapas, and sangria, and again, the beautiful tiles.
